The Onyx Restaurant opened in April 2007 on the site of the former Kis Gerbeaud (Little Gerbeaud).
The renovation of the restaurant was based on plans by Zoltán Varró. The neo-baroque Onyx Restaurant retained the existing stucco and chandeliers of the Kis Gerbeaud and redressed them in modern clothing. The restaurant gets its name from the onyx stonework that dominates the appearance and atmosphere of the restaurant.
The design and layout of our restaurant was created specifically with the demands individual guests in mind. For this reason, the largest table in the restaurant seats 8 people. An important feature of the restaurant’s atmosphere is the layout of the furniture; therefore, the possibilities for re-arranging the furniture are limited.
